How Ultrasonics Work
Objects Ultrasonics Can and Can’t Clean Ground-In dirt and grime can be extremely tedious to remove by hand, however it becomes easy with the use of ultrasonic cleaners. A wide range of parts can be cleaned by the ultrasonic
process to a ‘Like New’ condition with the right detergent/solvent without damaging the part.
A physical effect called “acoustic cavitation” generated in the liquid is responsible for the cleaning process. Cavitations form when ultrasonic waves travel through liquid. When a sound wave travels through fluid it stretches and compresses the liquid to transmit the sound, as the amplitude of such sound waves increase to a critical level the negative pressures create cavities in the water.
As these cavities collapse high temperatures and large forces are generated in a very localized area, the accumulative effect of millions of these collapsing cavities is responsible for the cleaning action and are particularly effective when used with the correct detergent/solvent.
Cavitation takes place where ever the liquid comes into contact with the object being cleaned, for example;fine recesses/cracks and obscured chambers to clean where many other cleaning methods cannot reach.
Ultrasonic Cleaning Equipment For Use In Medical Device & Orthopaedic Implant Manufacture
The Pharmaceutical Industry has a requirement for a precise clean when it comes to dyes that are used in the manufacture of tablets. As these dyes are extremely expensive and sensitive items the less manual handling which happens to the item increases the lifespan of it. Historically the process has been a manual one which is very time consuming and labour intensive. There are three major drawbacks and these are:
1.A lack of consistency of clean
2.Manual process subject to damage
Ultrasonics WILL; reduce the manual process which increases the lifespan of the items; it improves the consistency of the cleanliness and is one of the lease time consuming methods for cleaning.
Industrial Ultrasonics have a selection of ideal standard ultrasonic cleaners such as the Mobile ultrasonic cleaner, with weirs, which would best suit this application.
If these do not fit your requirements Industrial Ultrasonics will create a custom unit to fit your requirements
Ultrasonics is ideal for cleaning complex components. With its unique ability ultrasonics will remove contamination and sterilise any dental equipment quickly and effectively.

Medical Ultrasonic Cleaner
Effective sterilization requires effective Medical Ultrasonic Cleaner and when it comes to cleaning reusable instruments and equipment, our equipment & detergents meets the most demanding criteria. Our industrial ultrasonic cleaners are used to assist with the cleaning of instruments that cannot be adequately cleaned manually such as spiral wound instruments like biopsy forceps etc. The ultrasonic vibration at the frequency used for cleaning does not kill microorganisms and infective aerosols may be produced.
Ultrasonic cleaners work by subjecting instruments to high frequency, high-energy sound waves. This causes the soil to be dislodged from instruments and drop to the bottom of the tank, or be sufficiently loosened that it will be removed during the rinsing process. The detergent used in the ultrasonic tank must be carefully selected in accordance with advice from the tank's manufacturer. Optimally it will be a neutral, low-foaming product and enzymatic cleaners will have enhanced benefits in this process.
