Cosmetics & Fragrance Filling Hardware: Pump Actuators, Mascara Cores, Lipstick Molds & Perfume Nozzles

Detalhe do caso

Challenge

A cosmetics contract manufacturer cleaned stainless pump housings, actuator stems, return springs, mascara wiper metal cores, lipstick bullet mold inserts and perfume crimp/nozzle stems. Residues included pigment, titanium-dioxide slurry, silicone emollient, wax, fragrance concentrate and light laser-marking adhesive. Micro-engraved lipstick molds trapped pigment in cavity detail; pump metering chambers required particle-free bores; perfume crimp stems carried fragrance oil in narrow channels. Heated detergent risked shrinking elastomer seals and altering fragrance-sensitive tolerances.

Solution

The filling line standardized on ACMESONIC Ultrasonic Cleaner models with no heating: SUS316L tanks for fragrance/oil-compatible aqueous surfactants, 28 kHz for wax and adhesive, 40 kHz for pump housings, 68 kHz for micro-engraved molds, adjustable power, degas mode for filtered solution and semi mode for PVD-coated stems and soft-seal assemblies. Pump stems were held vertical in micro-racks, mascara cores in slotted trays and lipstick molds face-up to avoid air pockets.

Outcome

Pigment and titanium-dioxide residue removed from lipstick mold engraving and mascara core slots without abrasive polishing. Pump metering chambers and perfume nozzle bores de-oiled for consistent fill weights and spray pattern. PVD-coated stems and elastomer seals cleaned with no heat shrinkage; ambient workflow reduced solvent use and supported repeatable pre-assembly hygiene.
