Challenge: A solid-dose workshop needed API powder, binder streaks, magnesium-stearate film and granule residue removed from monogram punch cups, die lands and sieve frames. Warm baths could affect coated/nitrided punch surfaces and heat-sensitive API residue.
Solution: ACMESONIC Ultrasonic Cleaner, SUS316L, no heater. 28 kHz for sieve frames and die bodies, 40 kHz for punch bodies, 68 kHz for monogram cups and vent holes, degas mode for pharmaceutical-grade aqueous detergent, semi mode for polished/coated tips. Punches racked upright, dies on bore mandrels, screens in separate trays.
Outcome: Engraved cups and die bores de-powdered without scratches; validated ambient recipes reduced manual rework and cross-batch contamination risk.
