Fuel Injectors & Carburetor Components for Automotive Workshops

Falldetails

Challenge

A fuel-system remanufacturer handled gasoline/diesel injectors, idle jets, emulsion tubes and carburetor bodies contaminated with varnish, gum, light carbon and injector-test oil. Manual probing and solvent dipping cleaned only exterior passages; internal metering orifices and filter baskets stayed clogged. Any heating requirement added warm-up time and energy cost the workshop wanted to avoid for short bench batches.

Solution

The bench adopted an ACMESONIC Ultrasonic Cleaner for no-heating operation: SUS304 tank, selectable 28 kHz for heavier gum/carbon and 40 kHz for fine injector filters, adjustable ultrasonic power, degas mode for fresh aqueous solution and semi mode for delicate injector pintles. Parts sat in perforated baskets with a neutral aqueous degreaser at ambient temperature; cavitation carried energy into microscopic orifices without thermal cycling.

Outcome

Internal orifice residues were removed uniformly without disassembling fragile injector filters. Short-batch bench cleaning ran at ambient temperature with no heater warm-up and lower energy draw, solvent consumption and fume exposure dropped versus dip tanks, and flow-test consistency improved across rebuilt injector sets.
